Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is cooperating with local authorities in Dallas following a multi-vehicle accident over the weekend, according to a statement released by his attorney, Sean Lindsey, per @AdamSchefter.
The statement confirms that Rice is working with investigators regarding the incident that occurred on Saturday. "On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone involved in the automobile accident on Saturday," the statement read. "Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly."
The crash, which occurred on North Central Expressway in Dallas, reportedly involved a vehicle leased or owned by Rice. Police had been searching for the Chiefs breakout star in connection with the six-vehicle collision that resulted in minor injuries to several individuals. Rice, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, played a pivotal role in the Chiefs' recent Super Bowl LVIII victory, leading all rookie receivers in touchdowns during the regular season.
