The Baltimore Ravens are hiring Israel Woolfork as the team’s new quarterbacks coach, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. Woolfork joins the Baltimore staff after serving as the quarterbacks coach for the Arizona Cardinals.
Woolfork was a highly regarded candidate during this coaching cycle. Before landing the position with the Ravens, he reportedly interviewed for the offensive coordinator vacancy with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Arizona Cardinals had previously blocked Woolfork from interviewing for several other assistant openings earlier this offseason before eventually granting him permission to pursue the opportunity in Baltimore.
During his tenure in Arizona, Israel Woolfork worked closely with the team's signal-callers and was viewed as a rising star within the coaching ranks. He now transitions to a Baltimore Ravens offensive staff led by head coach John Harbaugh, where he will be tasked with overseeing the development and performance of the quarterback room.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
