Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier have been officially named the starting quarterbacks for the 2026 Senior Bowl, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Diego Pavia will lead the National team under center, following a standout season where he gained national recognition for his playmaking at Vanderbilt. On the opposing side, Garrett Nussmeier has been tapped to start for the American team. Nussmeier enters the showcase after a productive tenure at LSU, where he established himself as one of the premier passing talents in the SEC.
The Senior Bowl is a critical fixture in the NFL Draft evaluation process, providing a week of practice and a final game for scouts to assess the nation's top senior prospects. Both Pavia and Nussmeier will have the opportunity to lead their respective offenses in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams.
