The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially traded up to the No. 47 overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft following a deal with the Indianapolis Colts, per @AdamSchefter. In addition to the No. 47 selection, the Steelers are also receiving the No. 249 overall pick from Indianapolis to complete the transaction.

To facilitate the move up the draft board, the Steelers are sending three picks to the Colts: No. 53, No. 135, and No. 237. The trade sees Pittsburgh move up six spots in the second round while parting with a fourth-round and a seventh-round selection to secure their desired target.

The Colts now hold the 53rd overall pick and have added significant draft capital in the middle and late rounds. This trade allows the Indianapolis front office to expand their total number of selections while only dropping a handful of spots in the second round of the draft.

The Steelers have been active in looking for opportunities to move up, and this deal with the Colts marks their first major move of the draft's second day. Further details regarding the players selected with these picks will be provided as they are announced on the clock.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
