The Houston Texans have bolstered their offensive line, agreeing to terms with veteran offensive tackle Braden Smith on a two-year contract, according to reports on Tuesday.

Per @RapSheet, the deal carries a base value of $20 million but can reach a maximum of $25 million through various incentives. The contract also includes $13.5 million in fully guaranteed money for the former Indianapolis Colts standout.

Smith, 29, hits free agency after an eight-year tenure in Indianapolis, where he established himself as one of the league's most reliable right tackles. He appeared in 13 games last season for the Colts, continuing a career defined by high-level pass protection and run blocking. By staying within the AFC South, Smith brings immediate division experience to a Houston front that prioritized veteran leadership this offseason.

The news was initially reported by Dianna Russini of The Athletic before Ian Rapoport confirmed the $25 million maximum value of the agreement.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
