The Tennessee Titans are hiring San Francisco 49ers assistant head coach Gus Bradley to be their new defensive coordinator, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Bradley moves to Nashville after serving as the assistant head coach for the 49ers. A highly respected defensive specialist, Gus Bradley brings a wealth of NFL experience to the Titans' sidelines. He is perhaps best known for his tenure as the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks from 2009 to 2012, where he helped build the foundation for the "Legion of Boom" defense.
Following his success in Seattle, Bradley served as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013 to 2016. Since then, he has remained a sought-after defensive coordinator, holding the position with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts before his most recent stint in San Francisco.
The hiring of Bradley is a key step for the Tennessee Titans as they finalize their coaching staff for the upcoming season. Further details regarding the contract and additional coaching staff adjustments have not yet been released by the organization.
