The Las Vegas Raiders are trading defensive end Tyree Wilson and a seventh-round draft pick to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for the No. 150 overall selection, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Wilson, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, heads to New Orleans after just one season with the Raiders. The trade sees the Saints acquire the former top-ten selection along with a late-round flyer to bolster their defensive line depth. In return, the Raiders receive a fifth-round pick (No. 150) as they continue to navigate the draft board.
The move marks a significant change for Wilson, who recorded 3.5 sacks and 29 total tackles during his rookie campaign in Las Vegas. By moving Wilson, the Raiders front office gains additional draft capital while the Saints take a chance on the high-pedigree edge rusher out of Texas Tech to strengthen their pass rush rotation.
