The Minnesota Vikings have traded up to the No. 198 overall pick in the NFL Draft to select Wake Forest running back Demond Claiborne, per @TomPelissero.

To facilitate the 36-spot climb in the draft order, Minnesota sent the No. 234 overall selection and a 2027 sixth-round pick to complete the transaction. The deal allows the Vikings to secure the Demon Deacons standout late in the sixth round, moving up from their original position in the seventh round.

The trade involves both a current draft asset and a future selection, as the sixth-round pick included in the package will not convey until the 2027 season. Claiborne becomes the latest addition to the Minnesota roster as the team continues to address depth through the draft's final day.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
