The Seattle Seahawks and standout edge rusher Derick Hall have reached an agreement on a three-year, $42 million contract extension, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The new commitment secures Hall through the 2029 season and includes $21 million in guaranteed money. Per Schefter, the deal has a maximum value of $46.5 million through various incentives. The agreement was confirmed by Hall’s representation, Chad Berger and Ezra J. Thompson.

Hall, 25, was previously scheduled to enter the final season of the original rookie contract he signed after being selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Auburn. The Seahawks' front office has been aggressive this offseason in retaining home-grown talent following record-setting defensive investments earlier this spring.

The extension follows a career-defining performance by Hall in Super Bowl LX, where he recorded two sacks and a forced fumble to help lead Seattle to a victory over the New England Patriots. Over the past two seasons, Hall has established himself as one of the premier pass rushers in the NFC, providing the Seahawks with consistent pressure off the edge.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
