The Cleveland Browns have officially agreed to trade reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, according to reports from Ian Rapoport, Adam Schefter, and Tom Pelissero.
In exchange for the superstar defensive end, the Rams are sending star edge rusher Jared Verse to Cleveland along with a significant package of draft picks. The draft capital heading to the Browns includes a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick.
The move represents the most significant transaction of the NFL offseason, as the Rams land one of the league's premier pass rushers to anchor their defensive front. Garrett, a perennial All-Pro, has been the face of the Browns defense since being selected first overall in 2017. In return, Cleveland receives a high-upside young defender in Verse and three valuable future assets to bolster their roster in the coming years.
