The Minnesota Vikings have signed Buffalo Bills restricted free agent offensive tackle Ryan Van Demark to an offer sheet, according to reports from Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The Bills now have a five-day window to decide whether to match the Vikings' offer or allow the tackle to depart for Minnesota. Van Demark, a former undrafted free agent, was previously given an original round tender by Buffalo valued at $3.52 million. Because he was originally undrafted, the Bills hold the right to match any offer sheet but will receive no draft pick compensation if they choose to let him sign elsewhere.
The tackle has provided depth for the Bills offensive line, and the Vikings are now looking to bring that experience to their own front five. Buffalo must make their decision by the end of the five-day period to determine where Van Demark will play in the upcoming season.
