The Buffalo Bills have signed veteran outside linebacker Mike Danna, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The move brings a proven pass-rusher to Buffalo as the team continues to reshape its defensive unit for the upcoming season.
Danna, 26, arrives in Buffalo after spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. A former fifth-round pick out of the University of Michigan, Danna became a staple of the Chiefs' defensive rotation, appearing in 59 regular-season games and earning two Super Bowl rings during his tenure in Kansas City. Last season was a breakout year for the defender, as he recorded 50 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and a career-high 6.5 sacks while starting 16 games.
The addition of Danna provides the Bills with much-needed depth and versatility on the edge. He joins a defensive front that includes Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, and A.J. Epenesa. Known for his high motor and ability to contribute against both the run and the pass, Danna is expected to compete for significant snaps immediately. Financial terms and the specific length of the contract have not yet been officially disclosed by the team.
