The Kansas City Chiefs are signing safety Alohi Gilman to a three-year, $24.75 million contract, according to The Insiders. The agreement includes $15 million in fully guaranteed money for the former Los Angeles Chargers defensive back.
The deal was finalized by Gilman's agents, David Canter, Ness Mugrabi, and Brian McIntyre of Aura Sports Group. Gilman joins the Chiefs following a productive 2023 season where he emerged as a full-time starter. Last year, he recorded 73 total tackles, 10 passes defended, and two interceptions while forcing three fumbles and recovering two across 14 games.
Since being selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, Gilman has appeared in 57 career games. He has accumulated 161 total tackles, 14 passes defended, and four interceptions during his four seasons in the league. This signing bolsters the Kansas City secondary with a veteran presence who has extensive experience within the AFC West division.
