The Chicago Bears are trading veteran wide receiver D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for mid-round pick compensation, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The deal, which was also reported by Mike Garafolo, sends the 28-year-old playmaker to Buffalo to serve as a primary weapon for quarterback Josh Allen. The Bills had been heavily linked to the wide receiver market this offseason, and Moore now fills a critical void in their passing attack.

Moore is coming off a 2025 campaign where he saw a dip in production, finishing with 50 receptions for 682 yards and six touchdowns. Despite the statistical drop, he remains a highly-regarded vertical threat who led Chicago in receiving yards during his first two seasons with the franchise. The move signals a shift in the Bears' offensive strategy under head coach Ben Johnson as they move forward with a revamped roster around Caleb Williams.

The trade is expected to be finalized when the new league year officially begins on March 11. While the compensation is confirmed as a mid-round draft pick, the specific round has not yet been disclosed.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
