The Miami Dolphins have signed versatile offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The move adds a proven starter with significant multi-positional experience to the Dolphins' offensive front.
Jamaree Salyer, 23, joins Miami after a productive tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers. Originally a sixth-round pick out of the University of Georgia in 2022, Salyer exceeded expectations early in his career. He started 14 games at left tackle during his rookie season following an injury to Rashawn Slater and followed that performance by starting all 17 games at right guard during the 2023 season.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds, Salyer’s primary value lies in his flexibility. His ability to play at a high level at both tackle and guard provides head coach Mike McDaniel with critical insurance for an offensive line that has dealt with various injury setbacks over the past two seasons. The Miami Dolphins have prioritized veteran depth this offseason to ensure consistent protection for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Terms of the contract were not immediately available. The team has not yet announced a corresponding roster move to make room for the addition of Salyer.
