Mackenzie Blackwood will once again start in goal for the Colorado Avalanche, according to @FriedgeHNIC. The goaltending confirmation comes as the Avalanche prepare for their latest matchup against the Minnesota Wild.

The Avalanche continue to deal with absences in their lineup, as Artturi Lehkonen and Sam Malinski remain out of action. Both players were confirmed to be sidelined for the upcoming contest, as Colorado continues to rely on its depth throughout the current series.

The Minnesota Wild are also seeing significant roster shifts. Veteran defenseman Jeff Petry is slated to draw into the lineup in place of Zach Bogosian. More notably, the Wild will be without two of their most important players, as defenseman Jonas Brodin and forward Joel Eriksson Ek did not make the trip with the team. Both Brodin and Eriksson Ek remain out with injuries and were not included on the traveling roster for this road game.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
