Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has not yet named a starting goaltender for Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Stars, per @FriedgeHNIC. According to Elliotte Friedman, the bench boss is not making any immediate decisions on his starter following the team's recent victory.

The goaltending situation has been a focal point for the Oilers throughout the postseason. Stuart Skinner returned to the crease for Game 4, making 20 saves to help Edmonton secure a 5-2 win and tie the series at 2-2. Skinner had previously been replaced by Calvin Pickard, who started Games 2 and 3 of the series after Skinner was sidelined earlier in the playoffs.

With the series shifting back to Dallas for a pivotal fifth game, Knoblauch is opting to evaluate his options between Skinner and Pickard before committing to a starter. Per @FriedgeHNIC, the coaching staff is taking extra time to determine which netminder gives the team the best chance to take a lead in the series. The decision is expected to be announced closer to puck drop at the American Airlines Center.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
