NHL head coaches André Tourigny and Spencer Carbery have signed contract extensions with their respective clubs, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN and The Athletic.
Tourigny was previously entering the final year of his current contract before reaching this new agreement. The move ensures coaching stability for his franchise as they look toward the upcoming season. Similarly, Spencer Carbery has reached an agreement to extend his tenure, further solidifying the league's coaching ranks.
The extensions for Tourigny and Carbery leave only a handful of NHL head coaches on expiring deals heading into next year. According to LeBrun, notable names remaining on expiring contracts include Joel Quenneville in Anaheim, Jared Bednar in Colorado, and Rick Bowness in Columbus, who signed a one-year deal in April.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
