Golden State Warriors rookie Quinten Post has signed an offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Shams Charania via the ESPN App. The move forces a decision for Golden State regarding the future of their second-round draft pick.
Quinten Post, a 7-foot center out of Boston College, was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 52nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Because Post was a restricted free agent, the Warriors now have a 48-hour window to match the terms of the Grizzlies' offer sheet or allow him to sign with Memphis outright.
The big man is coming off a productive final collegiate season where he averaged 17.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. His primary draw for NBA scouts was his elite floor-spacing ability for a player of his size, as he shot 43.1% from beyond the arc last year. The Memphis Grizzlies appear eager to add that perimeter threat to a frontcourt that recently added lottery pick Zach Edey.
If the Warriors choose not to match the offer, Post will join a Memphis squad looking to rebound in the Western Conference standings. Financial details of the offer sheet have not yet been made public.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
