The Arizona Cardinals are hiring veteran coach Nathaniel Hackett as the team's new offensive coordinator, according to @AdamSchefter.
Hackett, 46, joins the staff of newly appointed head coach Mike LaFleur. The move represents the first major addition to LaFleur's coaching staff since he was introduced as head coach earlier this week. Hackett brings significant experience to the desert, having previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets, as well as a stint as the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
The hiring marks a reunion of sorts, as Hackett previously worked under Mike’s brother, Matt LaFleur, in Green Bay. Hackett was reportedly set to join the Miami Dolphins coaching staff earlier this offseason before pivoting to the coordinator role in Arizona. He will now be tasked with revitalizing a Cardinals offense that finished near the bottom of the league in 2025.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
