The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed wide receiver Christian Kirk and punter Corliss Waitman, while also re-signing Sam Okuayinonu to a one-year contract, per @AdamSchefter.
The addition of Christian Kirk provides the 49ers with a proven veteran presence in the receiving room. Christian Kirk has established himself as a reliable target throughout his career, most recently playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The move strengthens the offensive options for San Francisco as they look to build out their depth chart for the upcoming season.
In addition to the offensive boost, the 49ers addressed their special teams unit by bringing in Corliss Waitman. Corliss Waitman has previous NFL experience with multiple clubs, including the Denver Broncos. The team also ensured continuity on the defensive side of the ball by retaining Sam Okuayinonu, who returns to the San Francisco 49ers defensive front on a one-year agreement.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
