The Buffalo Bills are scheduled to interview Anthony Lynn for the team's head coaching vacancy on Saturday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Lynn, who currently serves as the run game coordinator for the Washington Commanders, is a familiar face in Buffalo. He previously served as the Bills' assistant head coach and running backs coach and was named the team's interim head coach for the final game of the 2016 season. He was notably a finalist for the franchise's head coaching position in 2017 before the role was filled by the previous coaching staff.
Following his initial stint in Buffalo, Lynn spent four seasons as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers from 2017 to 2020. During his tenure in Los Angeles, he led the team to a 33-31 regular-season record and a postseason victory in 2018. Since leaving the Chargers, he has held coaching positions with the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers before joining the staff in Washington.
The interview is part of an ongoing search as the Bills front office looks to identify a new leader for the franchise. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
