The Buffalo Bills have officially hired Joe Brady as their permanent offensive coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Brady, who served as the team's interim offensive coordinator for the final seven games of the 2023 season, will remain in the role full-time under head coach Sean McDermott.
The decision comes after Brady oversaw a significant resurgence in the Bills' offensive production. Following the mid-season dismissal of Ken Dorsey, Brady guided Buffalo to a 6-1 record to close out the regular season, eventually clinching the AFC East title and a playoff victory. His ability to revitalize the run game and maintain a strong rapport with star quarterback Josh Allen were key factors in the team's decision to retain him.
Before joining the Bills as a quarterbacks coach in 2022, Brady served as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers. He rose to prominence in the coaching ranks as the passing game coordinator for the 2019 LSU Tigers, where he helped lead one of the most prolific offenses in college football history. By securing Brady, the Bills ensure continuity for Allen and the offense heading into the 2024 season.
