This update is a brief. We are expanding coverage with additional context and analysis as more details become available.

The Arizona Cardinals are hiring Nathaniel Hackett as the team's new offensive coordinator, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The move brings a veteran play-caller to the staff as the organization begins its preparations for the 2026 season and the upcoming offseason program.

Hackett makes the move to Arizona following a very brief tenure as the quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins, a role he accepted earlier this offseason. Prior to his short stint in Miami, Hackett spent the 2025 season serving as a consultant for the Green Bay Packers, where he assisted the coaching staff following his departure from the New York Jets.

With over two decades of coaching experience, Hackett has served as an offensive coordinator for the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills. He also served as the head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2022. The Cardinals are expected to utilize Hackett's extensive background in offensive system design to help lead the unit through the 2026 season.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
