The Kansas City Chiefs have officially hired Eric Bieniemy as their new offensive coordinator, according to @RapSheet.

Bieniemy returns to the franchise where he served as offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2022, a tenure that included two Super Bowl victories and five consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances. He replaces Matt Nagy, whose departure was confirmed by the team earlier Friday morning. The move was finalized on Friday afternoon following social media posts from the team and quarterback Patrick Mahomes thanking Nagy for his contributions.

During his previous five-year stint in Kansas City, Bieniemy oversaw an offense that consistently ranked at the top of the league in nearly every major statistical category. Nagy, who led the offense for the past three seasons, has recently interviewed for the offensive coordinator position with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to reports.

The Chiefs officially announced the hire shortly after Nagy's biography was removed from the team's official website. Bieniemy now rejoins head coach Andy Reid's staff as the team prepares for the 2026 season.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
