Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins has agreed to a massive four-year contract worth a maximum of $120 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The agreement includes a base value of $112 million with $60 million in total guarantees. Per @RapSheet, the deal is structured with incentives in the first two years that can push those guarantees up to $64 million. This landmark deal places Wilkins among the highest-paid defensive tackles in the league.
Wilkins hits the open market after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins. He is coming off a productive 2023 campaign where he recorded a career-high 9.0 sacks and 65 total tackles. He was originally selected by Miami with the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The signing represents a major move in the NFL's free agency period. Further details regarding the year-by-year cap hits and specific incentive triggers have not yet been disclosed.
