The Miami Dolphins are signing former Tennessee Titans cornerback Darrell Baker to a one-year contract. The move was confirmed by his agents, Kevin Conner and Robert Brown of Universal Sports Management, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Darrell Baker joins the Dolphins' secondary after spending the 2023 season with the Titans, where he played a significant role in their defensive rotation. During his tenure in Tennessee, the 26-year-old defensive back appeared in 15 games and recorded 35 tackles along with seven pass deflections. His addition provides Miami with veteran depth on the perimeter and a proven contributor on special teams units.
An undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern in 2022, Darrell Baker initially spent time with the Arizona Cardinals before finding a home in Tennessee. He now heads to South Florida to compete for a spot in a Miami Dolphins defensive backfield that has undergone several changes this offseason. The one-year deal allows Baker the opportunity to establish himself within the Dolphins' system under their current defensive scheme.
