The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Erik Ezukanma, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The move brings the former Miami Dolphins draft pick back into the NFL following a recent stint in the UFL.
Ezukanma was originally selected by the Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech. During his collegiate career, he was a standout for the Red Raiders, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2020. However, his professional tenure in Miami was limited by injuries and a crowded depth chart, resulting in just three regular-season appearances over two years.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 206 pounds, Ezukanma provides the Eagles with a physical presence and additional depth in the receiving corps. The signing allows the Philadelphia coaching staff to evaluate the young receiver as they continue to shape the roster for the upcoming season. Ezukanma will look to capitalize on this opportunity to secure a permanent spot on an NFL active roster after his time in the spring league.
