The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Samori Toure to a deal today, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The addition bolsters the Eagles' depth at the position as they finalize their roster preparations for the upcoming season.
The move reunites Toure with Sean Mannion, who currently serves as an offensive assistant for the Eagles. Mannion previously worked as an offensive assistant coach in Green Bay, where he was on the staff during Toure's tenure with the Packers. While the Eagles' offense is led by coordinator Kellen Moore, the familiarity between Toure and Mannion is expected to assist the receiver's transition into the Philadelphia system.
Toure was originally a seventh-round pick by the Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nebraska. Over the past two seasons in Green Bay, he appeared in 22 games, recording 13 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown. He becomes the latest former Packers wide receiver to join the Eagles roster this month.
The addition of Toure provides further competition and depth to a Philadelphia wide receiver room headlined by Pro Bowlers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
