Former Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Channing Tindall is signing a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, according to his agents Kevin Conner and Robert Brown of Universal Sports Management, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Tindall, a former third-round pick out of the University of Georgia, joins the Falcons' defensive rotation as they look to bolster their linebacker depth. The 2022 NFL Draft selection spent his first two professional seasons with the Miami Dolphins before a brief tenure with the Arizona Cardinals. Known for his speed and athleticism, Tindall was a prominent member of the Bulldogs' elite collegiate defense before entering the professional ranks.
The signing marks a homecoming for the linebacker, who played his college football just 70 miles away in Athens. While the financial terms of the one-year deal have not been officially disclosed, Tindall is expected to compete for a role on the active roster and contribute on special teams. The Falcons' front office continues to make personnel moves to solidify the defense ahead of the upcoming season.
