The New York Jets have officially signed first-round pick Kenyon Sadiq to his rookie contract, securing a versatile new playmaker for their 2026 offense.
According to reports from Adam Schefter and team officials, the former Oregon standout agreed to a four-year, $22.3 million contract that is fully guaranteed. The deal for the No. 16 overall selection also includes a fifth-year team option, a standard feature for first-round rookie scales.
General Manager Darren Mougey described Sadiq as a critical "offensive weapon" who provides immediate flexibility for new offensive coordinator Frank Reich. Sadiq, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 241 pounds, turned heads at the NFL Combine with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash, the fastest time for a tight end in over two decades. The Jets expect him to contribute across multiple positions to diversify a passing game that struggled in 2025.
