The New York Jets have officially locked up a cornerstone of their offensive line, agreeing to a four-year, $66.4 million contract extension with guard Joe Tippmann, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The deal, which was confirmed by the team on Monday, keeps the rising star in New York through the 2030 season.

Per Rapoport, the extension includes $34.9 million in total guarantees. The agreement was negotiated by agents Joe Panos and AJ Stevens of Athletes First. Tippmann, 25, was set to enter the final year of his rookie contract before this new deal made him one of the highest-paid guards in the NFL.

A second-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2023, Tippmann has been a versatile and durable presence for the Jets, starting 48 games over his first three seasons. While he spent time at center early in his career, he emerged as an elite pass protector after moving to right guard full-time last season.

With Tippmann secured long-term alongside young tackles Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, the Jets have established a formidable foundation for their offensive front for years to come.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
