Quarterback Justin Fields has officially passed his physical, finalizing his trade from the Chicago Bears to the Pittsburgh Steelers, per @AdamSchefter. The completion of the medical examination was the final procedural step required to make the transaction official between the two franchises.

The deal sends Fields to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 2025 conditional sixth-round draft pick, which has the potential to upgrade to a fourth-round pick based on playing time. The move follows a significant overhaul of the Steelers quarterback room this offseason, which also included the addition of veteran Russell Wilson.

Fields, a former No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, leaves the Bears after starting 38 games over three seasons. During his tenure in Chicago, he recorded 6,674 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns, alongside 2,220 rushing yards and 14 scores on the ground. He now joins head coach Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh as the team prepares for the 2024 campaign.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
