Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson described the team's massive coaching overhaul as a "breath of fresh air" during comments made on Wednesday, per Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet).
Jackson admitted to being "shocked" when the organization decided to part ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh earlier this offseason. However, the two-time MVP expressed significant optimism regarding the transition to new head coach Jesse Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. Jackson noted that the atmosphere in Baltimore has been "smooth" as the team resets for the 2026 season.
The veteran signal-caller has been a more frequent participant in the voluntary offseason program this year, citing the "energizing" nature of working with new voices in the room. Jackson, who has missed days of voluntary work in previous years, said the changes led him to take a different approach to this year's program. The Ravens hope the new leadership will help the team reach the Super Bowl for the first time since Jackson joined the franchise in 2018.
