The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to hire Andrew Janocko as their new offensive coordinator, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network and "The Insiders." The move comes as the organization moves quickly to solidify its coaching staff following the conclusion of the postseason.
Janocko arrives in Las Vegas with extensive experience as an offensive assistant and quarterbacks specialist. He most recently served as the quarterbacks coach for the Chicago Bears during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Before his tenure in Chicago, Janocko spent several years with the Minnesota Vikings in multiple capacities, including a season as the quarterbacks coach in 2021 and time as the wide receivers coach and offensive line assistant.
The hiring reunites Janocko with new Raiders coach Klint Kubiak. The two share a close professional bond, as Kubiak previously brought Janocko to the Seattle Seahawks last year to serve as the quarterbacks coach. Kubiak joins the Raiders staff just one week after coaching in the Super Bowl, bringing a wealth of offensive knowledge from his recent role as the passing game coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers.
By securing Janocko, the Las Vegas Raiders aim to establish a consistent offensive philosophy built on the established rapport between Kubiak and his new coordinator. Further announcements regarding the team’s full coaching staff are expected as the offseason officially begins.
