The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement on a two-year contract with former New England Patriots safety Jaylinn Hawkins, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN on Wednesday.

Hawkins joins the Ravens secondary after spending the latter portion of the 2023 season in New England. The 26-year-old safety began last year with the Atlanta Falcons, the team that originally selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, before being claimed off waivers by the Patriots in October.

Over the course of his four-year career, Hawkins has appeared in 58 games and recorded 131 total tackles, nine pass deflections, and four interceptions. His most significant defensive contributions came during the 2022 season with Atlanta, where he started 16 games and established himself as a reliable presence in the defensive backfield.

The addition of Hawkins provides much-needed depth for the Ravens at the safety position following the departure of Geno Stone in free agency. He is expected to serve as a versatile depth piece and special teams contributor behind established starters Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
