The Seattle Seahawks are interviewing San Francisco 49ers run game coordinator and tight ends coach Brian Fleury for their vacant offensive coordinator position today, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Fleury has spent the past seven seasons in San Francisco, establishing himself as one of head coach Kyle Shanahan’s longest-tenured assistants. During his time with the 49ers, Fleury has been a key component of a coaching staff that has consistently produced high-ranking offensive units in both the run and pass game.
The Seahawks are currently in the process of building out the inaugural staff for new head coach Mike Macdonald. By targeting Fleury, Seattle looks to potentially bring elements of the successful San Francisco offensive system to the Pacific Northwest.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
