The official viewership figures for Super Bowl LX are in, and the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots has officially become the second most-watched program in U.S. television history. According to Nielsen data and per @RapSheet, the game averaged a staggering 124.9 million viewers across all platforms.

The broadcast, which aired on NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo, saw a slight 2.2% decline from last year’s all-time record of 127.7 million viewers for Super Bowl LIX. However, it still surpassed the 2024 viewership mark of 123.7 million. The Seahawks' 29-13 victory over the Patriots also set a new record for NBCUniversal, becoming the most-watched program in the company’s history.

While the overall game average was just shy of an all-time record, the broadcast reached a massive peak in the second quarter, with 137.8 million viewers tuning in simultaneously. The halftime show, headlined by Bad Bunny, also proved to be a major draw, averaging 128.2 million viewers and ranking as the third most-watched halftime performance on record.

The 2026 figures are the first to fully utilize Nielsen's "Big Data + Panel" metric, which incorporates viewership from millions of additional smart TVs and streaming devices. This year's game was notably absent from free streaming services like Tubi, as NBCUniversal focused on driving subscriptions to its Peacock platform ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
