Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is planning to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The move marks a significant shift for the quarterback, who had recently joined the Red Raiders program.
Sorsby previously played for Indiana before transferring to Texas Tech earlier this offseason. During his 2023 campaign with the Hoosiers, the signal-caller recorded 1,587 passing yards and 15 touchdowns. He also showcased his mobility, contributing 286 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground across 10 appearances.
The NFL Supplemental Draft is a rare process designed for players whose eligibility status has changed since the primary NFL Draft held in April. If an NFL team selects Sorsby in this draft, they will forfeit a corresponding pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. His entry provides professional teams with a late-summer opportunity to acquire a quarterback with Power Five starting experience.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
