NFL veteran linebacker Logan Wilson has officially retired from professional football, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The announcement comes while Wilson was a free agent following his release earlier this offseason.
Wilson spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, who selected him in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. During his tenure in Cincinnati, he was a defensive mainstay and a key contributor during the team's run to Super Bowl LVI. He recorded over 100 tackles in multiple seasons and was highly regarded for his coverage skills and leadership in the middle of the field.
In November 2025, the Bengals traded Wilson to the Dallas Cowboys. He finished the remainder of the 2025 season in Dallas before being released by the Cowboys in February 2026. While he was expected to be a target for several teams in need of veteran linebacker depth this spring, he has instead chosen to end his playing career after six seasons.
Throughout his career, Wilson was known for his consistency and high football IQ. No immediate reason was given for his decision to retire at the age of 29. Further details regarding his post-playing career plans have not yet been disclosed.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
