Per @FriedgeHNIC, Sportsnet will join the national broadcast following the conclusion of the ongoing game between the Edmonton Oilers and the San Jose Sharks. That contest is currently late in the third period with the Sharks holding a 5-4 lead. Once that game concludes, the full network resources will pivot to the primary HNIC slate.
The early window of games includes the Ottawa Senators facing off against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals visiting the Montreal Canadiens. These will be followed by a matchup between the Calgary Flames and the Los Angeles Kings. The late-night broadcast will feature the Vancouver Canucks taking on the Seattle Kraken.
Fans can also look forward to the "After Hours" segment following the game coverage, which is scheduled to feature Brandon Montour. Viewers are encouraged to tune in to CBC immediately to catch the start of the program while waiting for the Sportsnet transition.
