The Toronto Maple Leafs have reached an agreement to sign forward Jack Roslovic, according to Darren Dreger of TSN. The addition provides the Maple Leafs with further depth and speed in their forward rotation as the team continues its offseason roster construction.
Roslovic, a 27-year-old native of Columbus, Ohio, finished the 2023-24 season with the New York Rangers following a trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets. During his stint in New York, he played a top-six role at times, recording eight points in 19 regular-season games and contributing eight points during the Rangers' post-season run to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Originally drafted 25th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Roslovic has developed a reputation as a versatile skater capable of playing both center and wing. Over the course of 445 career NHL games, he has tallied 80 goals and 141 assists for 221 total points. His playmaking ability and transition speed are expected to complement Toronto's existing core of high-skill forwards.
Specific details regarding the length and financial terms of the deal have not yet been confirmed.
