The Los Angeles Chargers are signing former Tulane tight end Johnny Pascuzzi following a successful tryout at the team's rookie minicamp this past weekend, per @TomPelissero of NFL Network.
Pascuzzi, who entered the professional ranks as an undrafted free agent, earned his contract after impressing the coaching staff during the three-day evaluation period in Costa Mesa. The 6-foot-4 tight end was a consistent presence for the Tulane Green Wave, appearing in all 14 games during the 2023 season where he primarily served as a reliable blocker and a key contributor on special teams units.
The addition of Pascuzzi comes as the Chargers continue to reshape their roster under the leadership of new head coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz. With a heavy emphasis expected on the run game and physical play at the line of scrimmage, Pascuzzi provides the team with additional depth and competition at the tight end position heading into the summer. He will now join the team for the remainder of the offseason program, including upcoming Organized Team Activities (OTAs).
